Applications are now opened for Women Tech Founders Program in Middle East and North Africa 2021. Google’s Women Techmakers and the U.S. Department of State, through the Providing Opportunities for Women’s Economic Rise (POWER) Initiative have partnered to host the Women Tech Founders Program.
This program will provide women tech entrepreneurs from across the Middle East and North Africa region technical skills training from Google’s tech and start up experts, and help build a network of future tech changemakers in the region.
The program will be facilitated in English and will draw applicants mainly from Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE.
In addition, a select number of applicants from the region, outside of Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE, will also be selected as Women Tech Founders ambassadors to participate in the program and serve as tech changemakers in expanding the program to the Middle East and North Africa region.

Open to women tech entrepreneurs from across the Middle East and North Africa region.

Program Timeline
During each session, participants will work toward building a tech founders community amongst themselves by engaging with peers and sharing their stories of their entrepreneurial journey. Selected finalists will be invited to participate in technical training sessions that will run through the month of May:
- Lanch Event: May 17th, 2021 (Open to the public)
- Session 1: May 18th, 2021 (Finalists Only)
- Session 2: May 24th, 2021 (Finalists Only)
- Session 3: June 1st, 2021 (Finalists Only)
- Session 4: June 8th, 2021 (Finalists Only)
How to Apply
Applicant must be a woman leading a tech startup (currently owning a tech business, having owned a tech business within the past 2 years or launching a new tech business with acquired seed funding.)
Ambassadors should be willing to serve as a program ambassador by supporting the expansion of the program to your country. As a Women Tech Founders ambassador, you will be expected to participate in follow-up sessions to coordinate with program stakeholders and help develop a plan to expand the program objectives and help build a community of women tech founders.
