Cambia Grove Innovator Fellowship 2021

The 2021 Cambia Grove Innovator Fellowship will work with national leaders to showcase the value of data interoperability in health care to accelerate adoption. 

Fellows taking part in this program will collaborate with the HL7 FHIR ACCELERATOR^TM Program including the Da Vinci Project. Fellows will develop, vet and standardize a framework for measuring the value of FHIR use case implementation. This framework will drive practical implementation and adoption of FHIR standards. The intended use of the final deliverable will be to provide insight to organizations considering implementation or needing to determine the value of FHIR implementation.

Applicant criteria:
The ideal applicant will have knowledge of and experience working within the health care system.
This person will also demonstrate comfort with or experience conducting interviews with potential FHIR users or stakeholders. 

Engagement Period Details:   

Pre-Fellowship Prep – June  

• Review packet of pre-read materials   

Month 1 – July   

• Virtual Kickoff meeting, date TBD    
• Connect with assigned mentor  
• Initiate project work with co-fellow  
• Attend weekly check-ins with Cambia Grove team on progress, questions, updates  

  Month 2 – August  

• Mentors and Mentees meet weekly to stay on track with project.  
• Weekly check ins with Cambia Grove team on progress, questions, updates  

Month 3 – September  

• Continue to work with mentors and Cambia Grove team on deliverables each week  
• Begin preparing for final presentations, begin creating PowerPoint for October event  
• Engagement period ends on September 30th   

Final Presentation Event – October  

• Cambia Grove will host an event to showcase the fellows, their projects and their learnings from the fellowship

Fellows  
Fellows will be responsible for their own equipment costs (if needed). Fellows will receive a $3,000.00 stipend for their time dedicated to the fellowship. The expected time commitment from fellows is 5-10 hours per week depending on the project requirements.
