The National Government of Colombia launches the second version of the National Award for Young Talent in alliance with One Young World (OYW), the summit of young leaders that identifies, promotes and connects the most influential activists in the world. Thanks to the creation of the National Young Talent Award, Colombian youth will have the opportunity to promote their initiatives and share them worldwide.
The National Award for Young Talent brings together the efforts of the Office of the First Lady of the Nation, MarÃa Juliana Ruiz, of the Presidential Council for Youth with support from Fundación Solidaridad por Colombia. Account as an ally with One Young World and it is possible thanks to the financing of 15 private sector companies that create and bet on the talent of young Colombians: Diageo, Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, Bavaria, Efecty, Servbinetega, Colombina, Mercadolibre, Freskaleche, Constructora Capital, Ara / Jerónimo Martins, iFood, YPO Colombia, ISA, AlejandrÃa and Sanofi.
To ensure the participation and representation of young people throughout the national territory, the 20 available places will be assigned in accordance with the 9 Regional Pacts defined in the 2018-2022 National Development Plan: Pacific Region, Caribbean Region, Central Region, Santanderes Region, Amazon Region, Eje Cafetero and Antioquia Region, Llanos-OrinoquÃa Region and Seaflower Region & Oceania.
In the call for the 2021 National Young Talent Award, Colombian young people between 18 and 28 years of age and who lead projects related to: innovation, health, entrepreneurship, technologies, community work, cultural projects, environmental solutions, mitigation of effects of the COVID 19 pandemic, scientific research, education and conflict resolution or human rights.
Eligibility criteria:
- Young between 18 and 28 years old.
- Have Colombian nationality.
- Reside in the Colombian territory.
- Lead or be part of an initiative or project that generates impact in their territory.
- Not having participated in One Young World previously.
- Not be a public official.
Criteria to evaluate:
- Relevance of the initiatives he leads or in which he has participated.
- Leadership.
- Impact of the projects carried out.
- Potential benefit for the communities or territories to which it belongs.
- Motivation letter in which you state the reasons why you want to be part of this initiative.
