Since 2016, Wedu has been the implementing partner of the U.S.-ASEAN Women’s Leadership Academy for YSEALI. YSEALI is a program funded by the U.S. State Department for young leaders in Southeast Asia. This year’s Academy will support 60+ young Southeast Asian women leaders who are addressing food insecurity in the region from different dimensions. From agriculture to biotech, nutrition, food safety, trade, and more, these #WomenFeedTheFuture.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- At least 28 years old
- A citizen of ASEAN member states, Timor-Leste, and the United States
- Professional background in food security in one or more of the following areas:
Research or policy
Biotechnology
Agriculture and agribusiness
Public health & nutrition - Climate adaptation
Trade & supply chains
Water & resource management
Program Timeline
- May to December 2024: (8 months)
- Time Commitment: Up to 3 hours per month
