Founded in 1993, GIST has pioneered innovative research and educational initiatives, such as establishing Korea’s first liberal arts based collegiate science curriculum, which comprises extensive educational exchange programs, with distinguished universities around the world.
GIST has grown over the past three decades to include an increasingly diverse group of talented students and prominent professors from around the world who work tirelessly together to achieve greater scientific and technological successes with the goal of becoming a top-tier global university by 2035.
The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers students from countries around the world an opportunity to experience research at GIST by assigning them to a research lab for eight weeks during the summer to receive valuable training and mentoring from the lab’s professor. Many international students have gained both theoretical knowledge and practical training in research thanks to the GIP program.
Eligibility
- International undergraduate students who are currently seniors or international students enrolled on a master’s program are eligible to
- apply for the Global Internship Program.
