The Amazon Web Services Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Scholarship Program

AWS is teaming up with Udacity to award 2,500 students with scholarships in 2024. You will learn in-demand AI/ML training, enabling hands-on skills and career advancement through industry mentorships and support. You will receive full tuition for Udacity’s Nanodegree program, a comprehensive AI training program designed to give you hands-on AI skills to boost your career potential.

• In-depth: Students can access dozens of hours of free training modules and tutorials on the latest AI and ML skills and their real-world applications.

• Cutting-edge: Students get the exciting opportunity to turn theory into action by training ML models to power a virtual race car using AWS DeepRacer Student League, a global autonomous racing competition exclusively for AWS AI & ML students.
• Nanodegree-support: Get technical support throughout your Nanodegree program from industry experts in machine learning. Gain exposure to the latest innovations and trends in the field directly from ML leaders. Learners in this program receive access to an inclusive job board only for scholarship recipients.

How it Works

1. Step 1 Enroll in AWS DeepRacer
   
   Students will opt into the scholarship program through AWS DeepRacer Student where they will need to complete two application prerequisites as they learn the fundamental concepts of ML. Upon successful completion of the prerequisites, students will be given a unique code to access the Udacity application to then apply.
   
2. Step 2 Free AWS Generative AI Course
   
   This free course offers an in-depth exploration of generative AI, emphasizing foundational concepts and real world applications.You’ll gain practical knowledge of machine learning and generative AI, while exploring responsible and inclusive AI applications within society. The course will be available for free exclusively to learners who complete the Udacity application worth $250.
   
3. Step 3: Scholarship recipients announced
   
   2,000 students will receive scholarships for the 4-month AI Programming with Python Nanodegree program. Attend virtual mentoring events with industry pros. Plus, learn foundational skills in a collaborative virtual environment with mentorship from Udacity and Amazon advisors.
   
4. Step 4: Additional Nanodegree program
   
   All graduates will be invited to take an assessment. The 500 students with the highest scores on the assessment will earn a second Udacity Nanodegree program scholarship to help further prepare them for a career in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Scholarship Timeline

1. February 1 – May 31, 2024: AWS AI & ML Scholarship applications open on Udacity’s website.
2. May 31, 2024: Last day to complete prerequisites on the AWS DeepRacer Student website to earn scholarship access on Udacity.
3. June 14, 2024: AWS AI & ML Scholarship recipients notified.
4. June 19, 2024: AWS AI & ML Scholarship Nanodegree program begins
