Applications are now open for the GEC Fall 2024 Young Global Professionals Program. The Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center (GEC) develops and promotes pragmatic and nonpartisan policy solutions designed to advance global energy security, enhance economic opportunity, and accelerate pathways to net-zero emissions. Our Young Global Professionals (YGPs) provide important research and logistical support to the Center. They are also encouraged to participate in and attend events hosted by other programs at the Atlantic Council.

YGPs are an integral part of the GEC. The projects are all-hands-on-deck and we encourage interns to actively engage with events, projects, and research. This position will expose the candidate to the logistical elements of event-planning, think tank operations, research, and our publications process.

  • Poise and professionalism in a team environment with colleagues and counterparts in the United States and abroad.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Handle an array of logistical coordination for program events and activities.
  • Write correspondence and take notes at Council public events, roundtables, and strategy sessions.
  • Write analytical pieces for publication on GEC’s EnergySource blog.
