Application Deadline: July 10, 2024
Applications are now open for the 2024 ASEAN-China Youth Exchange Camp. 2024 marks the 33rd year of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations. To date, China has become the vital partner of ASEAN. China remained ASEAN’s largest trading partner since 2009 while ASEAN has become China’s largest trading partner for two consecutive years. Socio-cultural relations are no exception to the growing relations between ASEAN and China. China has continued supporting ASEAN in its human resource development by providing scholarships through the ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship and promoting cultural and educational exchanges through various seminars and conferences such as the 12 consecutive editions of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week since 2008. All efforts have pointed towards the importance of China as a long-standing partner for ASEAN.
Although ASEAN-China relations have special significance, further strengthening of these relations is needed to amplify mutual growth, especially among youths, as future leaders in the region among ASEAN and China. Hence, The ASEAN Foundation, with support from the Mission of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN through the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund is pleased to organise the ASEAN-China Youth Exchange Camp. Inviting youth from ASEAN and China to discuss and brainstorm on improving ASEAN-China ties through lectures, dialogues, cultural exchange, and experiential learning.
ASEAN-China Youth Exchange Camp is a collaborative programme between the ASEAN Foundation and the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN through the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund. It aims to promote the significance and understanding of ASEAN-China relations. During the implementation, ASEAN Foundation will work with Xiamen University as the appointed local organiser.
