Faith For Our Planet, in partnership with Duke University’s Divinity School, is thrilled to announce the third cycle of its fellowship for climate-conscious young leaders from around the world.
25 exceptional young people will get a chance to join a program designed to foster trust and understanding between individuals across faiths, cultures, and sectors while equipping them with knowledge and skills to apply the value-based framework rooted in faith to effectively address climate change.
Our Fellows will be trained by distinguished specialists in religious studies, climate change, cross-cultural and interfaith relations, media, and community work.
Faith leaders, students of eco-theology, environmentalists, community activists, and early career professionals eager to deepen their knowledge of faith and environmental protection are all welcome to apply.
Requirements
The fellowship seeks to attract 25 individuals, between the ages of 20 to 30. We aim to maintain an inclusive and diverse cohort with representation from different faiths, communities, abilities, genders, and sectors.
Participants should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Be between the ages of 20 to 30 (required)
- Have education, volunteer, and/or work experience relevant to the themes of the fellowship (environment, religion, community leadership, etc.)
- Have access to a local network (social, professional, religious, etc.) or a willingness to mobilize accessible local networks
- Have command of the English language
Timeline:
- 5th August, 2024: Applications Open
- 31th August, 2024: Applications Close
- 10th November – 31st December 2024: Interview Cycle
- January, 2025: Announcement of the 2025 Youth Fellowship Cohort
- 24th – 30th May, 2025: Fellowship held at Duke University, USA
