Green Entrepreneurs are uniquely positioned as drivers of innovation, holding the keys to unlocking a transition to a green and sustainable future for our planet

What do we mean when we say “green entrepreneurs” or “green business”?

We are talking about a business or individual that is purpose-driven in addressing social and environmental issues through the services and products they deliver.

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) invites green-oriented, innovative and opportunity focused entrepreneurs from the Pacific to participate in the inaugural Greenpreneurs Incubator Program. The name and photo associated with your Google account will be recorded when you upload files and submit this form

At the Global Green Growth Institute, they believe that green entrepreneurs are uniquely positioned as drivers of innovation, holding the keys to unlocking a transition to a green and sustainable future for the planet. The program aims to catalyse your business to showcase Pacific solutions to Pacific problems on a national, regional and global scale.

What can Pacific Greenpreneurs expect?

The Pacific Greenpreneurs Incubator program is a free, carefully curated training and mentoring program designed to support green entrepreneurs to build robust and sustainable business models, and the skills, tools, and confidence to implement them for success. The program will culminate in a business pitch competition that will provide seed funds to winning enterprises.

  • Orientation – As Pacific Greenpreneurs, you will begin your journey with an intensive two-day in person kick-off workshop (COVID-19 restrictions permitting) to focus on your business and meet like-minded green entrepreneurs and mentors from your country and the region to focus on your business model.
  • 3-month virtual training – Orientation will be followed by weekly online training built around the lean start-up canvas through participatory webinars and online assignments – each module dedicated to one step of building out your business model.
  • Mentorship Program – Based on business needs and preferences, each Greenpreneur will be assigned a mentor who will act as a ‘sounding board’ and support to guide them through the process of building out their business models.
  • Networking – During and beyond the program, Pacific Greenpreneurs will have on-going opportunities to engage with like-minded entrepreneurs and supporters of green enterprises in the Pacific region and beyond, providing opportunities for professional development, brand-building and awareness, and more.
  • Pitch Competition – The final pitch competition involves participants putting together their business plans and pitches. This includes three main components:
    • The Lean Canvas: This contains all core information about the business model on a single sheet.
    • A video pitch and slide deck: This is how the teams communicate their vision, unique value, and feasibility in a compelling way.
    • Financial and impact forecasts, including a Theory of Change: This allows participants to provide more detailed information about the sustainability of their model and the impact they want to make.

Award Information: If you are interested in developing and unleashing the potential of your green business or idea and securing a chance to win up to USD$5,000 in seed funding, then keep reading to learn how you can join the Pacific Greenpreneurs Incubator Program!
