The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offer eight public health fellowship opportunities for recent graduates with a background in molecular biology, bioinformatics, public health, epidemiology, genetics, genomics, biostatistics, computer science, biology, or a related field. These programs include:
Environmental Health Laboratory Fellowship
Food Safety Laboratory Fellowship
Infectious Diseases Laboratory Fellowship
Quality Management Laboratory Fellowship
Eligibility
- A narrative statement
- Current resume/CV
- Three letters of recommendation
- Transcripts from all degree-granting institutions
- Program-specific supplemental question
- US citizenship or permanent residency
Application Procedure
- Applications must be submitted online by February 28, 2022
- Application review will begin after the deadline
- Applicants will be notified of their status by April 2022; finalists will be invited to a virtual interview
- Fellows will begin their assignments in Summer 2022 (flexible start date).
