Jack Petchey Foundation is delighted to announce that we are doubling the size of the internship programme and will be offering year-long funded internships for 40 young people at 40 youth organisations in London and Essex in 2021.
This £1m programme is designed to give young people a flying start in the charity sector. It aims to support dynamic young individuals in their first step towards being the sector’s future leaders. By giving charities the funding to recruit an intern, the programme gives organisations additional and valuable resource to help them achieve their mission offering expert support to their beneficiaries.
Youth charities across London and Essex can apply for a grant to fund the recruitment of a new intern onto their team for a year placement. The Jack Petchey Foundation will fund the intern’s salary and provide a mentor and training bursary for the interns, alongside a range of training and development opportunities for the interns and their managers.
We are looking for small to medium sized charities (with annual income between £150,000 to £5,000,000) who can provide a year’s internship role that will have a positive impact on the work of the organisation and on the interns themselves. The internship will run for 12 months from April 2021 to April 2022. We are keen to encourage applications from organisations in Essex, as well as from London.
