DROUGHT RESILIENCE LEADERS MENTORING PROGRAM

The Drought Resilience Leaders Mentoring Program (DRLM) will connect people to share knowledge and experience bringing together farmers and other rural professionals from all over the country.

Mentors and mentees will participate in six 1:1 mentoring sessions and have access to webinars and resources covering a range of topics relevant to agriculture and regional Australia, broadly contributing to drought and climate resilience.

Participants will have opportunities to learn from one another and those with experience and expertise in the areas of climate science, resilience, wellbeing and agricultural practice.

Eligibility Criteria

Mentors will:

  • Identify as a farmer, drought or climate professional OR demonstrate connection to the agriculture sector or communities in rural, regional and remote Australia
  • Demonstrate their desire to share expertise as well as identify areas for their own development and learning
  • Embrace new ideas and possess a demonstrated willingness to learn, grow and adapt to change by working with others

Expectations:

  • Commitment to entering a trusted mentor/mentee relationship to support the development of others as they identify and strive to achieve their goals
  • Ability to commit to six mentoring sessions over the course of six months commencing January 2022
  • Commitment to attending induction and mentor training webinars and completing induction process
